At Georgi's home, we see each child as an individual
with his or her own talents and needs. Our goal is to
provide each of them with the resources that he or
she needs to thrived.
Located in Kitsilano, Georgi's Home is an In Home Multi Age family daycare, which primary goal is to provide high quality care for children in a safe, secure, positive and developmentally appropriate environment; where they can learn through structured and unstructured play/time and where the role of the educator is to assist, encourage and promote the children's learning experience at their own pace and to encourage and stimulate his or her growth and development. Georgi’s Home Daycare offers a unique mix between play and learn with many activities that incorporate the philosophy of Reggio Emilia and Montessori. The Program involves all areas of the child’s development: Social, Emotional, Intellectual, Physical, Language and provides opportunities to practice problem solving, active thinking, creativity, curiosity and independence when they discover by themselves the marvelous world that surrounds us, enjoy the interaction with others, and overall have fun. The environment is arranged by centres: Dramatic Play, Music and movement, Art Centre, Blocks, table toys, science table, sand and water play, literacy area and the Montessori Learning Centre. I am an experienced, trained Early Childhood Educator with high qualities and skills to work with young children. My many years of experience working as a Psychologist in my native country gave me the knowledge to understand the child development and my training as an Early Childhood Educator gave me the tools to work with them and for them. Every day your child spends with us he or she will learn and play in a safe and caring environment, where the children are learning skills for life. |
